Dubai is developing a reputation as one of the safest and most reliable ports in the Middle East with visitors looking gold jewelry or to see the famous camel racing.
But there is much more than gold and camels in Dubai. The popular Middle East destination has many historical sights including its oldest building the Al Fahidi Fort, Dubai museum and the Jumeirah Mosque the most photographed building in the city. Crystal Cruises is another major cruise line that will be visiting Dubai during 2007. Crystal Serenity will call during two world cruise segments in March and the newly refurbished Crystal Symphony will dock twice in May. The guests who will be spending 14 -17 nights of luxury sailing will enjoy one or two days of sightseeing, shopping and relaxation in Dubai. The 6-star Crystal Symphony has recently undergone a $23 million refurbishment which included includes major upgrades to staterooms, lounges, shops and the ship's casino. The Staterooms have all been redecorated with many features including the Venitian glass bedside lamps from Murano, leather headboards and the use of Rubelli fabrics throughout. LCD Flat screen TV’s have been installed and the redesigned bathrooms have granite vanity tops and oval glass hand basins. In the public areas the Starlite Club now includes a round bar with panoramic views of the ocean and new, state of the art, gaming machines have been installed in the Crystal Casino. There’s even a new nightclub called Luxe. For the technically minded and people who just have to stay in touch when on holiday there is an improved internet café and Wireless internet access.
