Its business as usual in Beirut with the annual Marathon set to go ahead on Sunday 26th November. The Beirut Marathon Association expects some 20,000 runners to set off under the slogan ‘For the Love of Lebanon’.
Top athletes from many countries are expected to enter and for those not up to the full 42.195km there’s also a 10k Fun Run and a Mini Marathon for young people aged 11 to 17.
Also going ahead is the annual Marathon Village and expo at Beyrouth (Beirut Harbour). Various companies, products and services will be exhibiting and visitors can also enjoy a series of concerts, sports shows, dance performances and fun workshops.
That runs from 22 November (Independence Day) until Saturday 25th.
