You know that if you are an SPG and have a Starwoods card you get points which can be redeemed for hotel nights, added when you pay your bill. But did you know that if you don't pay your bill personally, i.e. if your partners offers their card, this does not apply? Be warned, it happened to me. I kicked up a fuss and they made me a token gesture, but it's worthwhile keeping it in mind.

Thanks Mari I didn't know that. I always pay the bills using my business account in any case and I'll be sure to continue doing so.

I'm racking up a lot of points at the moment and am off to the Westin Turnberry Resort on Tuesday for a few days so that will give me some more.
